The mortar (in bags of 25kg) is suitable for internal and external use and for a maximum joint width of 1 cm. The joint width is usually 3 to 4 mm. With slate, quartzite, sandstone & antique limestone (e.g. antique roman pavement) and for external flooring, the joint will be somewhat wider (5 to 10 mm).

During grouting, the tiles must be repeatedly cleaned to avoid the build up of a cement film. Because of the smooth and sealed surface, under normal circumstances no dirt will adhere to the joints.
